What You Need to Know About EcoFlow Delta Pro Batteries

EcoFlow’s newest product has taken the clean energy market by storm, and part of the secret lies in the batteries. While operating at over 92% efficiency, very little energy goes to waste, allowing for these heavy-duty batteries to work their magic.

So, what’s so special about EcoFlow Delta Pro batteries? Well, we’re glad you asked!

How Does the Delta Pro Battery System Work?

Briefly, what makes these batteries so exceptional? Well, it’s in the chemistry of the cells.

Essentially, these systems use lithium iron phosphate batteries to store their energy, which has some of the highest efficiency with the fewest risks. Most comparable solar generators use NMC (nickel, manganese, cobalt), which have a reputation for shorter lifespans.

How Long Do Delta Pro Batteries Last?

Really, we’re asking two questions here; how long does each charge last and how long can you expect to keep the batteries for?

Depending on the use, each Delta Pro battery can last far longer than other solar generators on the market. Believe it or not, you can store it for over a year at full charge and still put it to use. Once running, each charge can power an average dryer for a full cycle, or charge a standard laptop 57 times.

Okay, but how long will that be the case? Anybody who’s owned a cell phone or a laptop before understands that batteries don’t last forever at the same capacity as when you bought them. Well, this is actually one of the most impressive features of the Delta Pro, as each battery is set to reach at least 6,500 lifecycles before reaching 50% capacity.

Not only that, but you can expect at least 3,500 lifecycles before reaching 80%, meaning that if you fully charged and drained the battery once a day, it would take you ten years to see a 20% decrease.

How Many Batteries Do I Need

When you buy expansion batteries, you can connect them to your original model and they will immediately act as one unit together, making this an easy expansion.

Keep in mind, each expansion battery will add an additional 3,600 Wh to your system, which is perfect for both home-backup and off-grid living.

Depending on your needs, you may need more power than others. If you are primarily using the system to charge your electronics on camping trips, then one battery should be more than enough.

Conversely, if you will be relying on your system to power larger home appliances (like refrigerators), or to operate power tools for long hours, then having an extra battery will certainly make a difference.

Without energy from solar panels, two fully-charged batteries could power a refrigerator for two days or a circular saw for five hours. While attached to solar panels, you shouldn’t have any interruptions!

Let It Run!

Without a doubt, the EcoFlow Delta Pro battery raised the bar, and we haven’t even mentioned their solar panels! The best part is that, once you have your system, you can double your capacity by purchasing a second battery for only a small charge(get it?).
