How does the Green Toilet Lux Composting Toilet Work?
All waste from the toilet, including toilet paper, travels through a waste shaft connecting the toilet pedestal to the composting chamber. The Green Toilet boasts an innovative double-base design that effectively separates excess liquid (urine) from solid waste, initiating the composting process right away. While the majority of the urine is absorbed into the compost mass, any surplus liquid drains through the double base to the bottom of the container. From there, it can be directed to a canister or a special filter using the provided hose. This smart design ensures a smooth and efficient composting process.
The Green Toilet LUX employs an efficient batch composting system, making waste management a breeze. When the container reaches capacity, simply swap it out with a spare. The full container is then securely sealed and set aside to complete the composting process. Over the next 6 to 12 months, depending on environmental factors, the contents mature into rich, nutritious mulch. This user-friendly system ensures a continuous cycle of sustainability and convenience.
