How Separett Toilets Work

Separett toilets are urine-diverting, meaning solid and liquid waste are separated at the source into two distinct containers. A flap covers the solid waste compartment, opening automatically when you sit. Solid waste is stored in compostable bags inside the solid bin. Liquid waste is either stored in a separate container or diverted to a drain pit -- depending on the model you choose.
