No — windows, shingles, and flooring are sold separately so you can design your build exactly the way you want. This gives you full control over color, style, and finish to match your property and meet local code requirements.
What is the difference between the Standard and XL models?
The Standard models (12×16 and 12×20) have 7′ side walls and reach 10′10″ at the gambrel peak. The XL models (16×20 to 16×32) scale up to 8′1″ side walls with 7′3″ first-floor headroom and a full second-story loft reaching 7′1″ in height — complete with a staircase. The XL is the right choice for large workshops, multi-use storage operations, or anyone considering a future livable conversion.
What does the Standard With Loft include that the No Loft doesn't?
The With Loft model includes a split-loft area with 4′ of height and functional loft doors for access. It's designed for practical overhead storage or a dedicated upper workspace, without requiring a full staircase. The No Loft version keeps the full interior open from floor to gambrel peak.
Does the XL model come with doors?
No — the standard Homestead XL does not include doors, giving you complete flexibility over door type, size, and placement. The XL + Transom Door model includes 8′ × 7′ transom doors for large vehicle and equipment access.
Do I need a floor, and what are my options?
Yes, a floor is required. You can pour a cement slab (common for larger structures and vehicle storage) or choose the optional FortressFloor™ wooden floor system, which includes 2×4 treated joists, ¾″ plywood panels, and 4×4 treated runners — a commercial-grade option built for heavy loads.
Is assembly included, or is this a DIY kit?
These are DIY kits — assembly is not included. Every component arrives precision pre-cut for accurate, straightforward assembly. You can build it yourself or hire a local contractor. Most builders complete assembly in 2–3 days with two or three people once the floor is set and level.
How long does shipping take?

How is the kit delivered?
Kits arrive curbside via liftgate truck — the driver will lower the pallet to the ground at the end of your driveway. You'll need help or equipment to move the pallets to your build site. Plan accordingly before your delivery date.
Do I need a building permit?
Permit requirements vary significantly by location and structure size. Given the scale of the XL models, we especially recommend checking with your local building department and HOA before purchasing. Requirements depend on footprint, intended use, and local zoning rules.
