Can I use this 24k air handler with a smaller condenser?
No. You must match the capacity exactly. A 24k wall mount air handler requires a 24k condenser. Mismatching sizes will result in poor performance and potential system damage.
Does this unit contain refrigerant?
No. Indoor air handlers are shipped pressurized with nitrogen (for leak testing) but do not contain refrigerant. The refrigerant is stored in the outdoor condenser unit.
Is this unit hardwired or plug-in?
This is a 230V unit that must be hardwired. It receives its power and communication signals directly from the outdoor condenser via the interconnect cable.
Can I install this myself?
No. Unlike the DIY series, the Advantage line requires a licensed HVAC professional to mount the unit, connect the refrigerant piping, and vacuum the system.
