Two of the biggest names in the game offer somewhat similar products for quite similar products. However, one has to be better than the other! With nearly identical capacities, let’s see which portable solar generator is better; the EcoFlow Delta 2 vs. Jackery 1000.
The Jackery 1000 has a 1002 Wh battery capacity, making it a mid-tier portable solar generator. Here are the specs!
The pure sine wave inverter allows for up to 3 AC outlets for up to 1000W of output at a time. Unfortunately, this may not be enough to run a cooking range or a hair dryer. For output, it has 2 USB-C ports, 1 USB-A port, and 1 USB-A quick-charge port.
Next, the lithium-ion battery is fairly strong for its size, but it will only last for 500 lifecycles before reaching 80% of its original capacity. That means that you can fully discharge and recharge it daily for around a year and a half before noticing a substantial drop.
The system is quite portable at only 22 pounds (10 kg), and Overall, it’s a great system for camping or charging your basic electronics!
The EcoFlow Delta 2 has a 1024 Wh capacity, which is roughly the same as the Jackery 1000. However, there are some key distinctions between the two.
To start, the EcoFlow Delta 2 also uses a pure sine wave inverter. It offers up to 1800W of continuous output through its AC ports, more than enough to power a cooking range or hairdryer. Thanks to the X-Boost technology, you can even run it up to 2700W for up to 5 minutes. For output options, the Delta 2 offers 6 AC outlets, 2 USB-A ports, 2 USB-C ports, and 2 DC5521 outlets, which is far more than Jackery’s.
Also, it comes with incredibly fast charging. The lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery can charge from 0% to 80% in under 50 minutes. Not only that, but the battery will last for over 3500 lifecycles before reaching 80% of its original capacity. That’s about 10 years of daily use!
The EcoFlow app and the LED display screen on the front of the unit can give you all of the insight you need into your battery’s life and performance. You can also compound this battery with any other EcoFlow battery for extra storage, and you can charge the entire system in 2 hours using only solar panels! Check out our full review to learn more!
Without a doubt, the EcoFlow Delta 2 is the more powerful option, even with a similar battery capacity and price point. The LFP battery lasts for so much longer, the inverter can handle a much higher capacity, and there are more charging outlets available. The only sacrifice is an extra 5 pounds of weight!
Still, that’s not a big deal since you can buy an EcoFlow Delta 2 with free shipping and a price match guarantee!
