EcoFlow rates the DELTA 3 Plus at 4,000 cycles to 80 percent capacity, and the Pro 3 at the same figure; used once a day, that is about eleven years before you notice the capacity drop.

Every model supports X-Boost, which lets a resistive appliance such as a kettle or hair dryer that is rated above the inverter's continuous output still run by trimming voltage. What it gives up is expandability: the Classic is a fixed 1,024Wh unit. If you know you will never add a battery and you want the lowest price into the DELTA 3 platform, this is the one. DELTA 3 ($629)

For $100 more, the standard DELTA 3 adds expansion. It accepts a DELTA 3, DELTA Pro 3 or DELTA 2 Max extra battery and scales to 5kWh, and it charges from a wall outlet at 1,500W for a full charge in about 56 minutes. Solar input is 500W, and it supports EcoFlow's 800W alternator charger for a full charge in about 1.3 hours while driving. If you might want more capacity later, skip the Classic and start here.

DELTA 3 Plus ($699)

The Plus is the DELTA 3 with two solar inputs instead of one, so it takes 1,000W of panels and refills from the sun in about 70 minutes under good conditions. It also adds two 140W USB-C ports for laptops, a sub-10ms UPS switchover so a desktop computer or router does not blink when the grid drops, and an IP65-rated battery pack. The 2kWh Tier: Max and Max Plus

Doubling the battery to 2,048Wh moves you from "keep the fridge and a few devices going" to "run the kitchen through a day-long outage." Both units weigh in the mid-40s in pounds, so they are a two-hand carry, and both have a sub-10ms switchover and 25dB fans.

DELTA 3 Max ($899)

The Max delivers 2,400W continuous with a 4,800W surge and 3,400W via X-Boost. It charges at 1,800W from a wall outlet or generator and reaches 80 percent in about 68 minutes. Solar is limited to 500W, so a full solar recharge takes about three and a half hours. EcoFlow notes it is 13 percent lighter than the DELTA 2 Max it replaces, at 44.8 lbs. It is the right choice if you want 2kWh of quiet, fast-charging backup and do not need the extra output or expansion of the Max Plus.

DELTA 3 Max Plus ($1,199)

The Max Plus is the most flexible model in the family. Output rises to 3,000W continuous with a 6,000W surge and 3,800W via X-Boost, which lets it run a microwave, kettle, fridge and blender at once. Solar input doubles to 1,000W for 80 percent in about 96 minutes, and it accepts an EcoFlow Smart Generator at up to 2,600W for 80 percent in about 43 minutes. Combine 1,000W of solar with the 1,000W alternator charger and it hits 80 percent in about 51 minutes on the road. The 3kWh Tier: DELTA 3 Ultra

DELTA 3 Ultra ($1,499)

The Ultra is the outlier. It has a fixed 3,072Wh battery, 3,600W continuous output with a 7,200W surge, and 4,600W via X-Boost. Its AC panel includes four 20A outlets and one 30A outlet, which is what you need for an RV shore power connection or a heavy 120V appliance. Solar input is 800W and wall charging at 1,800W gets it to 80 percent in about 89 minutes.

Noise is 25dB at 600W. What it does not do is expand: the Ultra is a standalone unit. Buy it when you want the most output and capacity you can get in one box without building a modular system. If you think you will keep adding batteries, the Max Plus or a DELTA Pro 3 is the better platform.
